One weekly semester hour equals 45 minutes. The course catalogue lists the amount of weekly semester hours for every course (abbreviated with “st”). This course (Contract Law I) encompasses 4 weekly semester hours (4st). The number of 12p (12 ECTS credits) is not relevant for the LL.M. program.
In addition to the traditional two-semester LLM program starting in the fall, students may elect to start the program in the spring semester (January). Spring start LLM students may complete their degrees in two semesters, or they can choose to complete the degree requirements at a slower pace, taking three semesters.
In addition to the traditional LL.M., degree options include an LL.M. with Thesis, for students interested in academic legal writing, and a number of LL.M. Specializations, for students interested in a specific area of law. LLM students who have completed 24 UOC are also eligible to apply for a term abroad, however the list of international partner law schools is reduced.

The syllabus aims at training the students to specialize in a particular jurisdiction and handle complex legal issues surrounding the domain. LLM Syllabus Students have to study some common papers in the 1st semester but from 2nd semester there are few subjects according to the specialization selected by the students.
